How to use this calculator
Enter your hourly wage and the hours you work in a typical week. Leave paid weeks at 52 if you are paid for holidays and vacation; reduce it if you have unpaid time off, such as a seasonal job or unpaid leave.
Example
Example
At $18.50 an hour and 40 hours a week: $18.50 × 40 = $740 a week. Over 52 weeks that is $38,480 a year, or about $3,207 a month before taxes.
Monthly pay is not four weekly paychecks
Months average about 4.33 weeks, not 4. If you budget with “weekly pay × 4”, you will underestimate your monthly income slightly. That is not a bad thing for a cautious budget, but use the monthly figure above when comparing with rent or a loan payment. Our monthly budget calculator can take it from there.
| Hourly wage | Weekly (40 h) | Monthly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| $15.00 | $600 | $2,600 | $31,200 |
| $20.00 | $800 | $3,467 | $41,600 |
| $25.00 | $1,000 | $4,333 | $52,000 |
